World Animal Awards A Huge Success

Incheon – South Korea

Our support for the World Veterinary Association’s first ever Animal Welfare Awards proved to be a major success.

We managed filming in six different continents to feature the vets who were named at the Awards ceremony at the 33rd World Veterinary Congress, held in Incheon, South Korea, and Good Call Media’s Nik Wood acted as Master of Ceremonies on stage during the event.

Good Call Media also carried out the filming at the ceremony and over the next few days we will be bringing you the video segments that were recorded and edited in South Korea immediately after the event.

The Awards were supported by one of our key clients, Ceva Santé Animale. In its press release, the WVA said: As global understanding and concern for animal welfare continues to change, so must the veterinary community evolve to embrace these changes and reflect societal expectations. Animal Welfare is a core mandate of the veterinary community generally and of veterinarians individually. Veterinarians must be engaged, knowledgeable, and prepared to use their skills and expertise in Animal Welfare to assist and support animal caregivers, industry, policy makers and the public to ensure best practices are in place that promote good animal welfare.

The WVA Animal Welfare Awards aim to recognize and reward veterinarians who have provided outstanding and exemplary welfare-related services to animal owners, hostels, fellow veterinarians, and the general public. Each winner will have demonstrated best practices in their consistent commitment to improve and educate about the welfare of animals.

The WVA President, Dr René Carlson said; “The WVA applauds this partnership with CEVA Animal Health to recognize veterinarians from around the world for their efforts to improve animal welfare and eliminate animal suffering. Such recognition is not only important, it is necessary to bring continued awareness to the benefits of good animal welfare for animals, people, and society. It is well recognized that good animal care can have far reaching and positive benefits in a number of areas, including human physical and psychological health, social development, poverty and hunger reduction, disaster management and environmental sustainability.”

For Ceva Santé Animale, Dr. Marc Prikazsky Chairman & CEO said, “I am very proud that as Chairman of Ceva, we are able to accompany the WVA in the creation of these important new awards.; As a veterinarian, I have felt for some time, that the profession needed to bring welfare back to the centre of what we do. Animals contribute enormous value to our society and as veterinarians we have a pivotal role to ensure that their health and welfare is always a priority. I look forward meeting the inaugural winners of the Awards”.

XP Power – Financial Interim Results

We have worked again with XP Power to produce a video highlighting the organisation’s interim financial results and, yet again, it’s a good news story.

Click here to play the video report highlighting the results.

And here is an extract of XP’s interim financial statement:

“The Group has had a very strong first half of 2017. Our reported order intake and revenues for the first six months of 2017 all set new records, assisted by the weakness of Sterling, a recovery in the capital equipment markets and, significantly, new design wins entering their production phase. The resulting solid earnings, cashflow generation and our confidence in the Group’s outlook support a further increase in the dividend.

We have continued to execute well against our strategy and, most encouragingly, we are now seeing the positive effect from design wins on the newer product introductions. The successful implementation of our strategy continues to drive market share gains and we are encouraged both by the strength of our order book and our continued new program wins. Our strong performance is enabling us to invest part of the cash generated from this revenue growth to expand our engineering capabilities and fuel our future growth.

Our strategy and value proposition

The Group has applied a consistent strategy of moving up the value chain and our growth derives in part from the targeting of key account customers. Once we are approved to supply these larger customers, we have continued to be successful in gaining a larger share of their business. We also continue to expand the breadth of our product portfolio, both organically and by acquisition, in what remains a highly fragmented sector, therefore enabling us to increase our addressable market.

Our value proposition to customers is to reduce their overall costs of design, manufacture and operation. We achieve this by providing excellent sales engineering support and producing new highly reliable products that are easy to design into the customer’s system, consume less power, take up less space and reduce installation times.

Our vision is to be the first choice power solutions provider, delivering the ultimate experience for our customers and as a place of work for our people.”

Japan Filming Forges Ahead

Our filming in Japan has proved to be a big success.

We are working with a new client in Japan…more will be revealed in the Autumn when we interview a number of the company’s clients in Europe as part of the major video project, designed to raise the organisation’s profile in the Eurozone.

Filming has taken place in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kobe where our team had to deal with a typhoon that hit the area followed by a minor earthquake! We were told that this was all part of day to day life in Japan.

Asia filming for World Veterinary Welfare Awards

Incheon, South Korea

Good Call Media is back in Asia – this time filming for the first World Veterinary Association animal welfare awards.

Nik Wood will be hosting the Awards at a ceremony being held at the WVA’s 33rd congress being held in Incheon. Thousands of veterinarians from every corner of the globe are attending the event and a big crowd is expected for the Awards event, which will include videos recorded in six different continents.

Click here to see a video look-ahead to the event shot and edited by Good Call Media. Video reports featuring the six winners will be released shortly.

The WVA Animal Welfare Awards aim to recognise and reward veterinarians who have provided outstanding and exemplary welfare-related services to animal owners, hostels, fellow veterinarians, and the public. Each award recipient will have demonstrated best practices in their consistent commitment to improve and educate about the welfare of animals.

The Global Animal Welfare Awards 2017 will be presented to one selected veterinarian from each of the six WVA regions (North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, North Africa/Middle East and Asia/Oceania).

The WVA President, Dr René Carlson said; “The WVA applauds this partnership with Ceva Animal Health to recognize veterinarians from around the world for their efforts to improve animal welfare and eliminate animal suffering. New Green Screen ‘Studio’ Used For Major Edinburgh Event

Take a look at our smart new studio which is being used for a series of innovative video trailers ahead of a major congress in Edinburgh this year.

Light ring is placed around the lens.

Take a second look and the keen eyed among you might realise that this is actually a virtual studio, created through the technology of green screen. It marks the latest investment in state of the art equipment made by our company as we strive to give our clients the very best in quality while remaining flexible and responsive to their needs.

                 Portable green screen

Using the Reflecmedia portable green screen equipment means we can create a studio backdrop within seconds and edit professional news bulletins for clients on whatever subject. We can also take the screen to our clients and edit their interviews against dynamic colourful backgrounds – without asking them to leave their offices.

Instead of using traditional green screens that are cumbersome to set up and light, Reflecmedia uses a clever light ring that  fits around a camera lens and reflects against millions of tiny glass particles embedded in the screen behind. This means that the subject can be filmed normally while any kind of image can be edited on to the green screen – or a whole news studio can be created.

You can see the set up demonstrated in our video report for the World Veterinary Poultry Association, highlighting their forthcoming Congress being held in Edinburgh in September this year.

New Client JEOL

We are always pleased to work with new clients, and our latest, JEOL, is no exception.

Good Call Media is to partner with the company on a project designed to look in detail at their work in the field of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers and our first assignment was to visit the recent Euromar 2017 Congress in Warsaw, Poland, where JEOL was a sponsor. We will also be filming at their facility in Japan as part of the project.

Our first short video with the company highlighted JEOL’s presence at Euromar and was used by the company on their Linked In site for JEOL Europe.

JEOL EUROPE – EUROMAR 2017 from JEOL EUROPE on Vimeo.

EUROMAR2017 gathered almost 550 participants, who met to exchange knowledge and the results of scientific research in the field of magnetic resonance, ranging from physics and chemistry to biology and medicine.

JEOL’s NMR products are high quality and selling in Europe.

JEOL is a leading supplier of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometers, mass spectrometers, scanning electron microscopes (SEMs), transmission electron microscopes (TEMs), scanning probe microscopes (SPMs), and semiconductor tools for scientific and industrial purposes. Providing applications-specific solutions that advance their customers’ diverse objectives — from routine analysis of organic and inorganic specimens to breakthroughs in nanotechnological development.

Nik Wood of Good Call Media, said:”JEOL is an amazing company with roots in the excellence of Japanese technology but is now very much a player in Europe and the rest of the world and our job will be to work closely with them to illustrate the work of their NMR team and the products they produce and sell.” Our work with JEOL is going to involve interviewing some of their best customers throughout Europe including several academic institutions who have decided to invest in JEOL equipment.

The Euromar event gave us the chance to meet with JEOL’s personnel from all around the world and we will also be visiting the JEOL facility in Tokyo, Japan to show the level of engineering excellence involved in producing NMR products – a skill that dates back almost sixty years.

New Appointment By Insider Group

Our partnership with Insider Media Group continues with our appointment to produce the video for the 2017 Yorkshire Property Industry Awards.

The Awards are being held in the New Dock Hall, Leeds on Thursday September 28 and, for the fifth year running, our colourful and dynamic video will get the proceedings underway. The project involves filming key developments throughout the Yorkshire region as well as interviewing industry figures and judges who will decide the winners on the night.

Despite numerous challenges in recent years, the industry in Yorkshire has continued to grow and outstrips many other regions in the UK outside London. However it’s also become clear that investors who have placed their money in the capital in the past are now looking for better value deals further north.

The entire commercial property industry in the county is recognised at the Awards including developers, professional advisors, architects, local authorities and even planners!

The event is also a major networking opportunity with most of those shortlisted companies taking tables together with their customers and suppliers.

Video for Made In The UK goes live

Our ‘kick off’ video for the Made in the UK  2017 Awards went live at the prestigious event, staged by Insider Media in Liverpool as part of a day-long conference event focusing on manufacturing.

Click here to see the video on Insider’s web site.

Mark Garnier MP – Export Award Sponsor

The video featured an interview with Mark Garnier MP, the Parliamentary Under Secretary for State in the Department For International Trade who sponsored this year’s Export Award.

“We know that companies that export are three times more profitable, seven times more resilient to economic shocks and they are our greatest calling card when we do business the world over”, he said.

The Awards dinner

The event is two events in one day. The day begins at the Merseyside Maritime Museum at the Albert Dock, Liverpool, with 8 mini – conference sessions focusing on specific manufacturing sectors. The conferences aim to update manufacturers operating in the specific sectors bringing them the latest information about futuristic developments that will impact on manufacturers in the near future.

The second event is the Awards dinner itself which is attended by hundreds of manufacturers and their clients. It’s the third year in a row that Good Call Media has been chosen to make the opening video. We also work closely with Insider Media Group on other events including the Yorkshire Property Industry Awards, the Made in Sheffield Awards and the Made in the Midlands Awards.

Springwater Appeal Film

Our work with the fantastic Children’s charity, Variety, continues.

We produced the appeal film for the glamorous Secret Garden Crystal Ball held at the Ripley Castle Estate, Harrogate. It was a wonderful evening that raised thousands of pounds for Springwater Special School in Harrogate. The charity was aiming to provide the school with a state of the art sensory room, a trampoline area and shelter for the playground.

The video formed a key part of the charities fundraising activities that night and told the moving stories of some of the children and their families who are currently at the school and love it; but also highlighted the desperate need for better facilities.  This is the third appeal film we have produced for Variety Yorkshire.  We have also produced awards videos and helped them to host the Yorkshire Property Industry annual dinner with an audience of  almost a thousand people.

Click here to watch the Springwater appeal film and see the great work they do.

Made in the UK Filming Underway

Filming is underway for this year’s prestigious Made in the UK 2017 Awards.

We are busy touring the UK, visiting companies that were successful in last year’s awards and the sponsors of this year’s event, reflecting the very best of UK manufacturing.

And it’s not only the companies that are being featured – the Awards also celebrate the best of people training and development with recognition of apprenticeship schemes that ensure skilled jobs are available for young people entering engineering and manufacturing.

The 2017 Made in the UK event is the fourth year that this manufacturing awards dinner is being held. It is scheduled to take place on Thursday, 22nd June 2017.

The second event is the awards dinner which is one of the UK’s largest national manufacturing awards dinners and will feature the kick-off video that we produce on behalf of the Insider Media Group.. It takes place at the Titanic Hotel on the waterfront, Liverpool during the evening of Thursday, 22nd June 2017. This event is the national final where the winners from 10 regional Made in events come together to see who the overall national winners will be. The regional events take place in Yorkshire, the North West, Ireland, Midlands, South East, Wales etc.

Watch out for the video after the event takes place – we are expecting all of the winners to repeat the film on Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and other social media outlets to share with their workforce and customers the news that they have been named the best in class in this year’s Made in the UK Awards.
