Our pride – 2019 Yorkshire Property Awards

We are proud to announce that we have again been selected as the video partners for the prestigious 2019 Yorkshire Property Awards  which attract over 1000 of the region’s property professionals to a glittering event.

The event is organised by the team at Variety the Children’s Charity and the real bonus is that it helps to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds for direct support and projects that improve the lives of children and young people through the county who face various challenges in their everyday lives.

In recent years we have worked closely with Variety on a number of different programmes and in 2018 we also attended the Yorkshire Property Awards, held each year in the beautiful surroundings of Rudding Park in Harrogate, and broadcast interviews with winners and sponsors as they came off stage on the big night.

We have also developed a highly successful brand with Variety, called ‘Game Changers’ which features videos that celebrate the best of Yorkshire property development over the last 12 months. These have included major developments such as Kirkstall Forge on the outskirts of Leeds, The Chocolate Works in York and the ongoing development of The Fruit Market on Hull’s waterfront.

We also film with various young recipients of Variety’s funding and their parents to demonstrate the incredible impact of the fund raising that takes place at the charity’s events, which also include the Yorkshire Residential Property Awards held in September, and the annual Yorkshire Business Awards held just before Christmas each year.

The 2019 Yorkshire Property Awards have already sold out and there are no tables left at the event but we look forward to visiting the region and highlighting the very best of design, support and development in the industry over the last 12 months.

Looking across the UK, Yorkshire and Humberside saw 5.8 percent annual house price growth in the third quarter of 2018, making it the strongest-performing area.

It was the first time since 2005 that Yorkshire and Humberside had been the top-performing region. At the other end of the spectrum, the North East of England saw a 1.7 percent decrease in house prices.Some parts of southern England, including London, also saw house prices fall annually in the third quarter.House prices in the capital have fallen annually for five quarters in a row – although the latest decline is “modest” at 0.7 percent, Nationwide said.

Property values in London are only 3 percent below a record high seen in 2017 and still sit more than 50 percent above their 2007 levels.
