Barcelona filming produces amazing interviews

We recorded an amazing collection of video interviews and testimonials for our clients, Volition RX,  at the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine congress in Barcelona.

Our background in television and radio journalism means we are experts at gathering what is know in the trade as vox pops (Latin for voice of the people), which sum up key views from attendees at various events. These are a valuable source of views from practitioners who will often help to build the future for a company like Volition which can help to save millions of lives worldwide.

Sepsis kills an estimated 11 million people a year, which is more than cancer or coronary disease. In 2017, there were an estimated 49 million cases, with over half of all cases occurring among children and accounting for 2.9 million deaths in under-fives.

Approximately half of survivors are left with psychological and/or physical effects. They may struggle to remember everyday things, no longer be able to walk or be unable to dress or bathe themselves without help.

Early detection and treatment of sepsis has the potential to improve survival – and improve the quality of life of survivors.

Launching Our New Drone

We have invested in the latest state of the art filming drone, the DJI Mavic  3 Pro.

And where better to shoot our first amazing pictures than in the Northern Territory of Australia, known as the ‘Top End’ which is home to some of the most beautiful vistas and national parks in the world. Nik Wood is visiting Australia looking at potential future projects for Good Call Media.

We were on a 3,000 kilometre road trip through NT, which involved crossing crocodile-infested rivers and travelling vast distances to film with Aboriginal cattle keepers and veterinarians as part of a project to produce a documentary with the Veterinarians for Climate Action organisation. The ambitious programme saw us fly to Darwin in the far north or the Territories and then make our way to the Seven Emu Station, which was the first cattle station in Australia to be owned by an indigenous family. Seven Emu is still in the hands of the Shadforth family and they will feature in our film.

The drone helped us to capture some incredible vistas as well as livestock that wander freely in the Aussie outback.

Watch out for the release of the documentary, which will be used to gather support for Vets for Climate Action as they lead a campaign to take their organisation global.

The film will be shown to various international organisations to highlight the work of the group, which is now attracting support from various areas of the world including the World Veterinary Association, which represent veterinarians in every continent. Busy bees!

We absolutely loved taking part in the video project to highlight the work of bees on the family-owned farms operated by the UK’s leading berry producers, the Hall Hunter Partnership.

We had never seen bee keeping up close, so it was a real privilege to witness their ‘secret’ world and to work next to Oliver Linton who is the Bee Keeper for the Hall Hunter Partnership and also the owner of the Busy Bee Honey Farm.
